Halfway through the sprint season, Enzo Elias is the only driver to repeat Porsche's 2022 victory

On a busy Sunday of great catches in Interlagos, the first half of the 2022 season of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard sprint championship went down in the history books of the category with an unprecedented alternation of winners and poles. In the first race of the day, Enzo Elias led the Carrera Cup from start to finish and is the only one to take home more than one victory trophy. The second race, valid for the Sprint Challenge, was won by Guilherme Bottura - he was the sixth different winner in six races in the division this year.

In this highly competitive scenario, the most consistent competitors from the first three stages appear at the top of the scoring tables. The two first placed in the Carrera Cup are Marçal Muller and Christian Hahn, the only ones with 100% podiums in the main category of the most produced racing cars on the planet. Alceu Feldmann, Miguel Paludo and Enzo Elias complete the top5.

For the Sprint Challenge, the Egyptian Ayman Darwich is in the lead, with just one point ahead of Raijan Mascarello.

In the sub-championships, the scenario remains open with 50% of the tests carried out. The only division that entered and left Interlagos with the same first place was Carrera Rookie, with Lineu Pires. Franco Giaffone (Carrera Sport), Bottura (Sprint Challenge Sport) and Gustavo Zanon (Sprint Challenge Rookie) took the lead in São Paulo.

Considering that both in the Carrera Cup and Sprint Challenge and in the sub-championships there is a regulation forecast of two discards after the last sprint race of the year, there are multiple mathematical alternatives to calculate the favorites for the title.

After a formidable tour of the main motorsport stage in Brazil, with more than 15,000 people in the stands and hospitality areas, a show by Lulu Santos and two intense activations by the more than 20 sponsors of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard , the largest Gran Turismo category in the Americas is now heading to Argentina.

The Termas de Río Hondo track, stage of the South American stage of MotoGP, will once again host the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard between August 11 and 14. There will be two consecutive stages, the fourth round of the 2022 Sprint Championship and the opening of the Endurance Series.
