KCMG Takes top 10 finish in ADAC qualification race
KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) secured a top 10 finish in the six-hour ADAC Qualification Race, the team’s last race outing at the Nordschleife before the Nürburgring 24 Hours in June. The Hong-Kong based squad, fielding Alexandre Imperatori, Josh Burdon, Edoardo Liberati and Marco Holzer, put in a solid performance in its final preparations for the 24 Hours, with less than a month to go until the headline event on the legendary 25-kilometre circuit.
For the first time in 2021, the four drivers raced together as a quartet at the Green Hell, gaining more valuable experience and data ahead of the world’s toughest endurance event. After Burdon qualified the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 R in 15th and took the start on his first race outing of the year with KCMG, smooth running throughout the afternoon for the Australian and his team-mates brought them up the order.
Utilising some excellent work in the pit lane during fierce battles with other cars on-track, Imperatori took the chequered flag in 10th.
The team will now make its final preparations during the three-week break before the start of the Nürburgring 24 Hours on 3-6 June.
