The Porsche Sprint Challenge continues to be an unmissable feature of every motorsport enthusiast’s calendar. It is one of the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK. Entering its 5th season this year, the prestigious Porsche Championship continues to be a magnet for spectators and drivers. The Championship is the perfect audition for ambitious drivers keen to prove themselves and accelerate their progression within the world of motorsport.

Identical cars are used for this Championship, therefore focusing on the pure driving skill of racing. This creates a thrilling, close race environment and provides superb facilities for both drivers and teams. Akkar is launching its first campaign this year with one AM driver and will be supported by CCK Motorsport who have had consistent success in the Porsche Carrera Cup with Charles Rainford over the past two years.

CEO of Akkar, Callum Davis, who has joined the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB for his first ever season says:

“Porsche is a premium brand synonymous with automotive technology and motorsport, Akkar and Porsche have a lot of shared values and this Championship was an obvious choice to partner with. I am delighted to be racing this season, besides this being a personal dream of mine, it is a great way for Akkar to engage with our valued employees and clients. Being my first ever season racing, with many of the tracks we are racing at being completely new to me, I am hoping to be competitive but want to focus on the enjoyment of racing and the fact the Sprint Challenge gives us a fantastic platform to grow from in the coming year. At Akkar, we live and breath the automotive/motorsport world, we are proving this by being at the forefront with the launch of our racing team.”

Akkar have opted to create a unique livery for the season which harks back to the 1971 Porsche 917/20 which was known as the ‘Pink Pig’ for its playful design by Porsche designer Anatole Lapine, who decided on the pink body colour and labelled each of the body parts according to butcher-style cuts. Akkar’s version is their trademark dark green with each section of the vehicle relating to a section of the business and its services such as ‘Targeted Search” and “Engineering Consultancy”.

And what an amazing livery it is! Be sure to visit www.akkar.com for more information and search for Akkar on LinkedIn and Instagram to follow along with the Porsche Sprint Challenge.
