Duo Alceu Feldmann and Gui Salas win 300 km of Goiânia endurance challenge

The second stage of the Porsche C6 Bank Mastercard Endurance Challenge was intense from start to finish, with 79 laps completed at the sprint event pace. At the end of the day, Porsche #1 duo Alceu Feldmann and Gui Salas won in the championship opener at Termas de Río Hondo and emerged as favourites as they opened up a 27-point lead over car duo #99, Jeff Giassi and Nicolas Costa, who finished third. Among them, he received the checkered flag #7, by Miguel Paludo and Dennis Dirani.

In the Challenge division, the victory fell to the crew of car #145, with Carlos Renaux and Luiz Razia. They had a clean race and came off in the second half, to win for the first time and erase a bad memory that came from Argentina when they abandoned at the beginning. The championship lead is in the #199, renan guerra and Nelson Marcondes, a driver who wrote another chapter in his history in the Porsche Cup in Goiânia. Nelsinho won his first title with a stage in anticipation at this track and last week emerged unscathed from a violent accident that disintegrated the tyre barrier at the exit of turn 3.

Played at room temperature above 30 degrees and above 50 degrees on the asphalt, the journey in Goiânia was aggressive for drivers, cars and especially for tires.

Victory-winning cars were frustrated by flat tyres during the race, such as Ricardo Zonta and Werner Neugenauer's Porsche pole position #8 and then championship leader #26 by Chris Hahn and Diego Nunes.

As in every good long-term race, strategy was once again a determining factor. In this respect, point to the crew of car #73, composed of Enzo Elias and Adroaldo Weisheimer. Enzo extended his first stint beyond 30 laps, advancing from 13th on the grid to the lead. Delivered the car to the first cousin, with a robust enough advantage to ensure the maximum score for victory in the first segment. In the end the #73 received the flag in fifth, winning the Carrera Rookie class.

Another shrewd team in stop planning was #88, by Georgios Frangulis and Cesar Ramos. After a safe touch, Frangulis inaugurated the mandatory stop window on lap 16, allowing Ramos to return to the lane out of traffic. The "Greek" then had another solid stint, returning the car to Cesar to complete the final 16 laps in qualifying pace, jumping from ninth to fourth in the final stage of the race. Thus the duo secured victory in the Carrera Sport class.

The victory in the Challenge Sport class was with the #777, by Josimar Junior and Sergio Ramalho. It was Josimar's second win in two weeks at the Goiânia track, as on Saturday last week he had triumphed in the Porsche Cup for the first time starting from pole position in the sprint stage (both in his sub-championship and overall).

The Rookie Challenge class had several alternations of leaders and some track escapes. In the end prevailed who was more constant and did not miss: the duo of Porsche #002, Junior Dinardi and Yuri Alves.

The Porsche Cup C6 Bank Mastercard returns to the decision of its sprint championship in the support event of the F1 GP São Paulo, between 11 and 13 November in Interlagos.
