Delays beyond the Team’s control meant that Dutton EMA Motorsport took delivery of the car after the 2021 Fanatec GTWC Australia competition had commenced. With a solid test program planned, the team aim to hit the ground running at the final Motorsport Australia GT Championship event at Sandown in September before embarking on an assault for the 2021 Motorsport Australia Endurance Champion Pro / Am Championship.

Imperative to their campaign has been the signing of Cam Waters, one of Australia’s leading drivers and no stranger to GT3 machinery having competed at the Bathurst 12 Hour event in 2018.
According to Mathew Nilsson, Team Manager for Dutton EMA Motorsport, excitement is starting to build after months of planning and hard work. “Our Porsche 911 GT3 R programme has been progressing for quite some time now, with a lot of effort behind the scenes. Signing a Pro driver of the calibre and professionalism of Cam has been an important achievement, we welcome him to our Team and look forward to working with him.”

The opportunity for Waters to join Dutton EMA Motorsport was one that couldn’t be missed. “I have been keen to do more GT racing since 2018,” said Waters. “Diversifying into different categories creates new disciplines and challenges, and I can’t wait for my chance to drive the Porsche product and battle for race wins.”

Joining Waters in the car at the Sandown event as the Amateur Driver will be Ben Stack, Dutton EMA Motorsport’s lead driver for their Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia championship entry. “Ben has been a big contributor to the establishment of Dutton EMA Motorsport”, said Nilsson. “We are pleased to provide him with the opportunity to gain further experience in the Porsche 911 GT3 R working closely with Cam during testing and contesting the Sandown event.”

Round #4 of the Motorsport Australia GT Championship will be held at Sandown on 17th – 19th September, 2021.
