Frikadelli Racing collects important points for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring

The Frikadelli Racing Team has once again arrived important calculator for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring long range series after the podium place at the season opening. During the third run of the North Grind Championship, Klaus Abbelen, "Jules" and Felipe Laser were waved with the #111 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in the fourth place in the AM rating. For the team from Barweiler, it was the last kilometers of the race with the vehicle before the big season highlight, the 24h race. The Cup Porsche is now being prepared for use in the long-range classic.

"We're not quite happy with the way the weekend is going this time. Although we managed to get over the distance again without a scratch, yet we couldn't relate to the performance from the first run and from the training. However, we know what points we need to score and we will come back stronger next time. What is very confident about us is the fact that Felipe was able to go with the pace of the top in the final step. This is a very good sign and gives us a lot of hope for the future of the season”, balances team manager Klaus Abbelen.

Like many other teams, the Frikadelli team, in qualifying, lacked the last amount of luck to find a suitable time window for a quick lap time. Some long lasting code-60 respectively Yellow phase significantly reduced the time hunting during the session. "It was difficult to even find some kind of rhythm today." Over and over again incidents on the track have made us need to take out the pace. This has also attracted much of the race," Jules explains. Nevertheless, the driver trio worked forward during the four-hour distance to fourth place.

"I would have given Klaus and Jules another podium place in the AM rating." Too bad it wasn't quite enough in the end. We will use the time until the next run to analyze the race and then hopefully fight back there”, said Laser.

For Frikadelli Racing, it will now continue with the second run for the Michelin Le Mans Cup in Imola in mid May. Two weeks later (28. -29.05.22) then the 24h race on the Nürburgring will follow.
