SEEBACH Motorsport Festival in Misano

The second race weekend of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland took place at Misano on the Italian Adriatic coast. On the circuit, which is world-famous for its MotoGP, SEEBACH Motorsport fielded three Porsche Cayman GT4s – two Cayman GT4 Clubsport RS and one car without an RS package. As a special highlight of the race weekend at Misano, a third round of the Porsche Sprint GT was held, which took place on Saturday evening in the dark.

In the three rounds of the sprint racing series, the racing team from Rosbach vor der Höhe in Hesse celebrated five class victories and three overall victories. Team owner Marco Seebach won the first sprint race overall and in class 1c. Sebastian Roth repeated the feat on Saturday evening and Sunday, although former ADAC GT Masters driver Michael Joos and his teammate Jochen Kilb were hot on his heels in both races. Steve Caroli also celebrated a class victory on Sunday in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport category. On Saturday evening, the reigning Porsche Endurance Challenge champion also finished second in his class.

The race of the Porsche Endurance Challenge over 100 minutes was also crowned with success for SEEBACH Motorsport. Marco Seebach and Jochen Kilb clinched another class victory for the team in the 1c class. In the 1b category, Caroli and his partner Dominik Schraml took second place in class.

After the race weekend in Italy, Steve Caroli and Sebastian Roth lead the Porsche Sprint GT championship in their classes. In addition, Steve Caroli leads the overall standings of the PSC Championship.

"Wow – what a race weekend at Misano! We've won practically everything you can win in the GT4 section of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland," said a jubilant Marco Seebach after the race weekend in Italy. "I was particularly proud of the result in Sunday's Sprint GT race, when the top three positions in the overall standings were taken by SEEBACH Motorsport drivers – I don't even know if this has ever happened before in the racing series! In qualifying, we were also deprived of some lap times, which is why we had to fight our way through the field in the races, but that didn't stop us. We are already looking forward to the upcoming race weekend at the Red Bull Ring."

The third race weekend of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland will take place on 22 and 23 July. Then the Porsche race weekend will be held at the Red Bull Ring in Styria, which is world-famous for its guest appearances in Formula 1, MotoGP and the DTM.
