Ricardo Feller laid the foundation for victory with a good start from pole position. The Swiss stayed ahead and maintained his lead in front of the second placed Lamborghini driver Mirko Bortolotti (GRT Grasser Racing Team) until the pit stops - despite two short safety car phases to rescue Daniel Keilwitz's Audi (Villingen , Aust Motorsport) and the Porsche by Klaus Bachler (Precote Herberth Motorsport). Feller handed over to partner Mies in the 17th round, while Bortolotti swapped one lap later with partner Albert Costa Balboa came back to the track as the leader, but was only able to enjoy his position for a short time: after four laps he had to take a drive-through penalty for a pit stop that was too short and fell out of the top ten. Christopher Mies then confidently brought the Audi R8 LMS to the finish. In the end, he was almost three seconds ahead. For Mies and Feller, their racing team and also Audi, it was the first victory of the season on the converted track, which now has two spectacular steep turns. Feller also won the Pirelli Junior classification for young drivers.

Second position went to Maro Engel and Luca Stolz. The duo started the race from third and celebrated its first top three finish of the season with the newly built Mercedes-AMG after the accident at the Red Bull Ring. Third place went to BMW works drivers Nick Yelloly and Jesse Krohn.
