Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific enjoyed success in Round 2 of GT World Challenge Asia and the GT Super Sprint Challenge (GTSSC) season opener, picking up several class victories and podiums.

Making their first GT World Challenge Asia appearance of the season, Porsche Center Okazaki pair Hiroaki Nagai and Yuta Kamimura put in a strong performance to claim second place in the first race of the weekend at Suzuka. Thai duo Tanart Sathienthirakul and Kantadhee Kusiri led for a while in greasy conditions, eventually finishing fourth on their season debut in the EBM Giga Racing-run AAS Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Sathiethirakul and Kusiri made it two top-10 finishes with eighth on Sunday, while AMAC Motorsport remained in control of the GT3-Am category. Andrew MacPherson and Ben Porter took class victory in the first race and third in the second to stay at the top of the standings in their Porsche 911 GT3 R (991). Despite not scoring at Suzuka, Setiawan Santoso and Reid Harker remain fourth in the championship, with EBM Giga Racing second in the Teams' standings.

Porsche also picked up silverware at the opening round of the second GTSSC season. Bian Ye scored a podium in Race 1 for Absolute Racing, with Climax Racing’s Li Lichao taking a pair of top-five finishes.

In the GT4 class, the new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport made its racing debut in China and had immediate success, as Wang Yi and SilverRocket Racing took both wins. RSR GT Racing’s Du Yu and Jack Pang of Blackjack Racing also picked up podium finishes at the Ningbo International Circuit in their respective Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
