Three class wins and a strong team performance for SEEBACH Motorsport

SEEBACH Motorsport celebrated three class victories in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland at the Nürburgring. In addition, the team showed a strong team performance with repairs late into the night.

The fifth race weekend of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland took place at the Nürburgring. SEEBACH Motorsport from Rosbach vor der Höhe fielded two Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and one car without RS package on the storied circuit in the Eifel.

The race weekend started with a lot of work for Marco Seebach's team. During the test drives, the Cayman of Steve Caroli and Dominik Schraml suffered a gearbox failure, which is why the mechanics had to change the gearshift unit of the Porsche late on Friday evening. But the work paid off. Caroli won the first Porsche Sprint GT race in his class and finished the second sprint race in second position. In the 100-minute Porsche Endurance Challenge race, Caroli celebrated another class victory together with Dominik Schraml.

But on Saturday evening there was another late shift for the mechanics of the Porsche team. Sebastian Roth was hit by an opponent in the first corner of the first Sprint GT race. The Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport was severely damaged, so it was at times unclear whether the car would even be able to return to the track on Sunday. But after another night shift, the #92 Cayman was ready for action again early Sunday morning. "A huge thank you to the whole team. With the gearbox change on Friday evening and the accident repair on Saturday, they showed a sensational performance at the weekend, a big compliment for that," said Seebach.

Roth finally finished the second round of the Porsche Sprint GT in second position in his class. The driver from Meschede was thus able to take the lead in his class at the penultimate event of the season.

Jochen Kilb finished the first Sprint GT race in second place in class 1c, while team owner Marco Seebach finished third in Sunday's race. In the Porsche Endurance Challenge race, Kilb and Seebach drove to a dominant class victory in their class and were thus able to further extend their lead in the standings and took an important step towards winning the title before the finale. Phillip Schauerte and Saverio Grieco followed in second place in the class.

"From a sporting point of view, it was also successful at the Nürburgring with three class victories. Before the finale at the Hockenheimring in about a month's time, we are leading two classes. We'll do everything we can to clinch the titles at Hockenheim," Seebach concluded.

From 7 to 8 October, the grand season finale of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland will take place at the Hockenheimring.
