GR Racing pulls out of FIA WEC season opener at Sebring
In a statement made yestaday GR Racing have confirmed that they will not compete in the opening round of the FIA WEC at Sebring – team owner Michael Wainwright states the situation in Ukraine as the reason why, where he would rather support his employees in the crisis region than start at Sebring.
The Porsche 911 RSR of GR Racing will not compete in the 1,000 Miles of Sebring, the FIA WEC opener. Driver and team owner Michael Wainwright has decided to stay in his home country of Switzerland. Wainwright wants to take care of his employees and clients, which his company also has in Ukraine and Moscow.

"I've decided that I'm not going to the U.S. while employees of my company are in dangerous and unpredictable situations, I think it's my duty to make sure that we provide as much support and help as possible from here in Europe and don't make it more difficult when I'm in a different time zone."
Wainwright scheduled to drive the GR Racing Porsche with Ben Barker and Riccardo Pera said . "I'm sorry for everyone involved, I will see you in Spa!"
