Manthey Racing return to NLS for 2022 with same proven pilots from 2021

The famous green and yellow Porsche of Manthey Racing known has the Grello will start in the Nürburgring Endurance Series in 2022 with the same pilots from 2021. When choosing the drivers for the Porsche 911 GT3 R, Manthey Racing has always relied on proven Porsche works drivers who have gone on to secure numerous overall victories for the team in recent years.

Michael Christensen, Kévin Estre, Fred Makowiecki and Laurens Vanthoor will share the cockpit throughout the 2022 season. At the season opener on Saturday, March 26th, Moakowiecki, Christensen and Vanthoor will be behind the wheel. In recent years, Manthey Racing has not always taken part in all of the races with the “Grello” due to other commitments. In 2021, Manthey Racing achieved the 55th overall victory in the long-distance race at the Nürburgring in the 6h race of the NLS, and the team is looking to repeat its success this year with the same crew.

The Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R team missed out on the ADAC final 2021 round, Michael Ammermüller and Michael Christensen, had to end the 53rd ADAC race prematurely due to tire damage caused by debris on the track during testing.

Round 1 of the NLS, starts next Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and lasts four hours. The 90-minute qualifying starts at 8:30 a.m. The live stream starts shortly before and broadcasts the opening race from the Green Hell without interruption until around 4:30 p.m.
