Marvin Dienst and Philipp Frommenwiler determined the action on their way to victory from the start. While pole-setter Dienst defended his lead at the start, Porsche driver Michael Ammermüller (34 / Rotthalmünster, SSR Performance), who also started from the front row, fell back to seventh place during the first lap. Instead, Porsche brand colleague Robert Renauer established himself as the first pursuer of Dienst, followed by Luca Stolz in the Mercedes-AMG and Steijn Schothorst (25 / NL, GRT Grasser Racing Team) in the best Lamborghini. Dienst continued to stand out from the field in the following laps. After ten laps he was two seconds ahead of Renauer, after 15 laps it was 4.2 seconds. When the pit stop window began, Dienst was more than five seconds ahead of the field. Teammate Frommenwiler then controlled the race from the front and was the first to see the checkered flag with a time cushion of 3.5 seconds. For Schweizer und Partner Dienst it was the first victory in the “Super Sports Car League”, for their racing team the eighth overall and the first since 2015. Dienst also secured victory in the Pirelli Junior classification.

Renauer and team-mate Sven Müller narrowly beat Mercedes drivers Luca Stolz and Maro Engel after 45 laps in the battle for second place. 0.9 seconds separated the two cars at the finish. Third place was enough for Stolz and Engel to regain the top of the table, where they are now tied with Audi drivers Patric Niederhauser (28 / CH) and Kelvin van der Linde (24 / ZA, both Rutronik Racing). The defending champions finished seventh.

Fourth place went to Steijn Schothorst and Tim Zimmermann (24 / Langenargen) in their Lamborghini in Saturday's race. The duo benefited from the bad luck of their teammates Franck Perera (36 / F) and Albert Costa Balboa (30 / E, both GRT Grasser Racing Team), who were in fourth place shortly before the finish line with a puncture. Mick Wishofer (20 / A) and Dorian Boccolacci (22 / F, both Team Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing) fought their way up from tenth on the grid to fifth. Michael Ammermüller and Christian Engelhart (33 / Starnberg) followed in their Porsche in sixth place.

Markus Pommer (29 / Neckarsulm) and Jeffrey Schmidt (26 / CH, both Callaway Competition) made up a total of six places from 14th on the grid to the finish and finished eighth. Klaus Bachler (29 / A) and Simona De Silvestro (32 / CH, both Küs Team75 Bernhard) finished ninth with their "911", followed by Eric Johansson (23 / S) and Jens Klingmann (30 / Tägerwilen, both MRS GT- Racing) finished tenth, the best result so far for a BMW M6 GT3 this season. Victory in the Pirelli Trophy classification for non-professional drivers this time went to Audi driver Filip Salaquarda (36 / CZ, Team ISR).
