XVR locked out the front row in qualifying with both George McLay and Steve Levallee heading the field into the rolling start. The PorscheSport driver Ryan Parkins had to sacrifice his fourth place as the chaos unfolded in front of him, choosing to keep the car clean and drop down the order.

There was little drama for the pole sitting XVR Porsche, with Johnny Brandon & George McLay dominating with a lights to flag victory. Although, there was a huge scare for McLay in the closing stages of the four hour endurance event. M.Lebelt in the FBP Racing Cup Porsche was unaware of the leaders coming through and made contact with McLay, fortunately the XVR team were able to continue with slight damage and take the chequered flag in first. “That was a great race and really enjoyable, thankfully we got the win. We had a bit of a guessing game with the strategy, but thankfully we got to the end. My teammate Johnny Brandon is super quick and pushed me all the way and our sister XVR car was always super quick, there was hardly anything in the lap times. We’re really looking forward to the next round at Monza, there is a long way to go in this championship so we will just take it race by race.” George McLay, XVR Sim Racing

“We’re really happy with the second place, our pace was good and we took our time over the four hours. It looked like we had a different strategy than some of the others and that’s a really interesting thing about this championship, four hours isn’t a sprint but also not a full endurance race. Many of the teams can come with different strategies and ideas how to approach the race and I think that is great for the fans watching at home. ” Ryan Parkins, PorscheSport
